Delivery Charges

Understanding TDU Delivery Charges

Your local Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU) charges each customer for the cost of maintaining the poles and wires. These charges are displayed on your bill under a separate section with the description "TDU Pass-Through Charges," so it's easier to distinguish Champion Energy charges from your local utility charges.

These charges are approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and are passed through to you without any markup. All retail electricity providers have these charges.

Calculating your TDU Delivery Charges

These charges are usage based. That means that the delivery charge rate is multiplied by the number of kWh used for the month. See the table below for details on the TDU Delivery Charges in your area.
